The overdose observed by a father and his child was very difficult for them to witness. (See story, page 3.) The fact is however, that this shooting up in our downtown is an everyday occurrence and this behavior is witnessed by the RCMP regularly.

Chilliwack newcomers find warm welcome

Sometimes something unexpectedly wonderful happens that affects us profoundly. We want to share with everyone such an occasion when we were the beneficiaries of a Good Samaritan. On April 11th we discovered that we had a bulge in our left front tire and were advised to take the vehicle to OK Tire. Upon further re-examination by Paul, it was determined that the back tire (driver side) also had a bulge. We arranged to have the tires replaced the following day.

The National Energy Board (NEB) released its project recommendation report for the Trans Mountain Expansion Project nearly one year ago. It was approved by the Government of Canada on November 29th, 2016, subject to 157 conditions imposed by the NEB.
