UPDATE: Remax collects 1,000 toys, more than $6,500 in cash during toy drive in Chilliwack

An annual toy drive brought in more than 1,000 toys and thousands of dollars in cash to help make Christmas brighter for children in need in Chilliwack.

The 28th Toy House by Remax Nyda Realty ran from Dec. 1 to 11, ending with a drive-thru event on Saturday, Dec. 11.

The Realtors collected a total of 1,010 toys, $405 in gift cards, and $6,670 in cash which included a $5,000 donation from the Remax team.

All items go to Chilliwack Community Services for Christmas hampers.
