Weekend of rapids racing at Tamihi

The Chilliwack Centre of Excellence brings back its popular Tamihi Five-O race for an eighth year.

Chilliwack’s Centre of Excellence hosts two big events this weekend.

The BC Slalom Championships are being held in conjunction with the eighth annual Tamihi Five-0 Open Boat Race.

The Tamihi Five-O event is a recreational slalom race for all whitewater boats, starting with a Saturday morning practice session for slalom at 9 a.m.

A practice session for the spectator friendly boater-cross race follows at 2 p.m.

Races are held on the Tamihi Rapids Sunday morning, starting at 10 a.m.
