Three Sardis Fliers speedskaters competed at the Canada West Short Track Championships in Canmore, Alberta last weekend.
Dominique Hawkenson placed third overall in the T2T14 girl category, earning silver in the 400 metre race and double-bronze in the 200m and 1500m pursuit. Dallas Hawkes placed fifth among T2T13 girls, with a silver in the 200m pursuit. Both girls were on the gold medal winning Team BC 3000m relay team. Michael Warkentin competed in the T2T13 boys category, finishing eighth overall.
