Chilliwack's Slammers hit a speedbump in men's fastpitch action, dropping a pair of games last week.
The Fraser Valley Men's League team fell 13-12 to the Abbotsford Blazers in a seven-inning barnburner last Thursday. Slugger Adam Tuck hit two grand-slams for Chilliwack, and the Slammers had an eight run lead through two innings.
But the Blazers chipped away, finally taking the lead in the sixth.
Rob Woodrow wielded a productive bat, going three for four with two RBIs and three runs scored.
The Slammers lost 7-0 to Vancouver's Sar Majors in an inter-league matchup Saturday.
The Vancouver Premier League squad sent Kurt Penner to the mound, and he stymied the Slammer bats.
Fabian Goodwill managed a two-for-two day with two singles. Gary Degroot legged out a triple and a stolen base.
Pitcher Clayton Beck took the loss.
Chilliwack's last league game is tonight at 7 p.m. at Townsend Park versus Abbotsford Shelcam Construction.
Their overall record is 7-4.
