Silver stars win final at Peewee Jamboree

Chilliwack's A3 Bruins became the first local team to win a final at the hometown Peewee Jamboree hockey tournament.

Chilliwack’s A3 Bruins became the first local rep team since 1995 to win a final at the Peewee Jamboree, downing the South Delta Storm for the silver division crown. Chilliwack trailed 3-2 heading into the third period but rallied for a 4-3 win.

The Cowichan Valley Capitals took top spot at Chilliwack’s flag-ship tournament, beating Nanaimo’s Clippers 5-2 in the platinum division championship.

The Campbell River Tyees blew out the Coquitlam Chiefs with a 7-1 win in the gold division final.

The bronze division went the Langley C2 Phantoms.

Two Chilliwack goalies won development packages from Langley-based Magic Hockey; Kolton King (C6 Snipers) and Dawson Pelletier (A1 Bruins).
