Chilliwack’s Steven Scurr overcame a sluggish start to finish middle of the pack at the BC Junior Boys Golf Championship, held last week in Revelstoke.
Scurr shot 75 and 76 through the first two rounds to fall to 39th overall before battling back in rounds three and four.
Round three was his best, an even-par 72 that included five birdies.
He shot a two-over-par 74 on the final day to finish 29th overall in a field of 72.
Another Chilliwack kid, Connor McLellan, had a tougher time. A disastrous 10-over-par third round left him with a four-round total of 310
That left him 22 over par and tied for 61st.
