The Chilliwack Centre of Excellence hosts kayak lessons Feb. 5 and 12 at the Cheam Leisure Centre pool.
From 7:30 to 10 a.m. both days, students will learn the basics of kayaking — basic boat control, safety precautions and self-rescue techniques — in a life-guard supervised environment.
The CCE will provide the boat, paddle, spraydeck, lifejacket and instruction. Participants are asked to meet at the boat trailer outside the pool to get equipment ready.
