Junior A Challenge going back to Nova Scotia

Yarmouth did it so well the first time, the CJHL and Hockey Canada are sending the World Junior A Challenge back for year two.

Hockey Canada and the Canadian Junior Hockey League announced Wednesday that Yarmouth, N.S., will host the 2013 World Junior A Challenge.

The annual tournament will run Nov. 4-10, and this will be the second year in a row in Yarmouth — the first time in the tournament’s eight year history that the event will be held in the same city in back to back years. It’s also the first time a city will host the tournament more than once.

The 2013 World Junior A Challenge will follow the same format as previous years – two Canadian entries will be joined by four international teams. The 2013 World Junior A Challenge will be based out of the Mariners Centre, home of the Maritime Hockey League’s Yarmouth Mariners, with surrounding communities also hosting games.
