High calibre curling at local rink

The Chilliwack Curling Club hosts a dozen top men's rinks, three of them local, at Lower Mainland Playdowns this weekend.

Three mens’ curling teams from Chilliwack are part of a field of 12 competing in this weekend’s Lower Mainland Playdown, being hosted by the Chilliwack Curling Club.

Friday has draws at 2 and 7 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday’s draws are at 9 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Allan Vanderveen, Dale Hockley and Todd Leighton are vying for three spots in the BC Men’s Championships on the Road to the Brier in March.
