Chilliwack’s GW Graham Grizzlies are the second ranked AA senior boy’s team in the province according to the latest rankings.
Released Wednesday, the list has GWG sandwiched between Victoria’s St. Michaels University School Blue Jags at No. 1 and the St. Thomas Aquinas Fighting Saints at No. 3.
Brentwood College (Mill Bay) and the Lambrick Park Lions (Victoria) round out the top five.
The Grizzlies may go head to head with Brentwood College at this weekend’s GWG Invitational AA basketball tournament, which has the two powerhouses on opposite sides of the bracket.
If they make it to the championship game, tip off with be at 8:15 p.m. Saturday night.
Chilliwack’s Unity Christian Flames are making noise at the single-A level.
The girls team is rated No. 8 in the province while the boys team gets an honourable mention.
The Agassiz Eagles are the top ranked team on the girls list.
