GW Graham’s senior boys basketball team captured the regular season championship in the AAA Fraser Valley East league last night and will host two regional playoff games Thursday and Friday.
The Grizzlies took down the Rick Hansen Hurricanes by a 93-68 count Tuesday night, celebrating senior night with a big home-court win.
Starters Geevon Janday and Cole Wicker led GWG in scoring with Liam Dueck, Armaan Shoker and Jude Hall playing big roles off the bench.
It’s the ninth league league championship for GWG in 13 seasons at the AA/AAA levels.
Holding the No. 7 spot in the provincial rankings, the Grizzlies face Langley’s DW Poppy Red Hawks Thursday, with an 8:15 p.m. tipoff.
A win will see them hosting either the Robert Bateman Timberwolves or Delta Pacers Friday in another 8:15 p.m. start.
