Chilliwack’s Evan Foster has been invited to the Canadian Football League’s national combine, with top prospects gathering in Regina Mar. 23-25.
Foster will go through a battery of medical examinations, performance, strength and speed tests, on-field football drills and team interviews in front of general managers, coaches and scouts from the nine CFL teams.
Fosters inclusion means he is likely to be selected in the league’s entry draft on May 7.
CFL.ca will cover the combine with live streaming of the bench press and 40-yard dash. One-on-one player drills will be aired and analyzed by James Cybulski and former CFLers Marshall Ferguson and Davis Sanchez.
Foster just concluded a stellar career at the University of Manitoba.
The defensive end was named a conference all-star for the third consecutive year. He tied for second in the Canada West conference with four sacks and led the conference with eight tackles for losses, adding 38.5 total tackles with one forced fumble and recovery.
Foster finished his Bison career with 96.5 total tackles and 12 sacks.
