Flag football fun

Chilliwack Minor Football is looking to put together a girl’s flag-football team to participate in the NFL Rush program.

NFL Rush is sponsoring three teams from B.C. to participate in the Flag Football Canadian Championships, taking place July 22-23 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

One of those teams is supposed to be a U-16 squad, but none are currently registered, leaving the door open for Chilliwack.

All expenses are paid for up to seven players and two coaches. There are five jamborees in the spring leading up to the B.C. Championships, taking place June 11-12 in Kelowna.

If there are not enough girls teams, the organizers will have the girls play in the boys U-14 division.
