The NCAA has announced the swimmers who will represent their schools at the 2018 NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships.
Chilliwack Spartan Swim Club grad Jessie Gibson will make the trip next week, traveling to Greensboro, North Carolina for a meet that runs March 14-17.
Gibson, a sophomore at Simon Fraser University, returns to nationals for a second time.
She is ranked fourth in the 100 metre butterfly and second in the 200m butterfly, giving herself a great opportunity to become an All-American once again.
In 2017, Gibson finished fourth in her signature event, the 200 yard butterfly, and was fifth in the 100 yard butterfly.
