Chilliwack golfer struggles dealing with the Dunes at Kamloops

Mitchell Thiessen finished 29 shots behind the leader at the 2016 CN Future Links Pacific Championship.

Chilliwack golfer Mitchell Thiessen tied for 57th in a field of 86 at last weekend’s 2016 CN Future Links Pacific Championship.

The tournament was played at the Dunes at Kamloops Golf Club

Thiessen played all three rounds, shooting 76-80-73 for a 13-over-par 229.

The winner, Tony Gil of Vaughan, ON., tore through the course with rounds of 66-68-66, finishing 16 under par.

The CN Future Links Championships are a series of regional junior golf championships conducted by Golf Canada in association with the Canadian PGA and Canada’s provincial golf associations.
