Chilliwack Giants star in first ever Kahunaverse Bowl

The showcase game took place last week in Langley with 14 Chilliwackians playing.

Chilliwack football players helped their All-Star Youth Sport (ASYS) team crush their Snoop Youth Football League (SYFL) foes 28-0 in the inaugural Kahunaverse Bowl.

The showcase game was held last weekend at McLeod Athletic Park in Langley.

Fourteen Chilliwack Giants suited up for the ASYS team, which included players from through the Lower Mainland.

Tight end/linebacker Braedon MacDonald led his team with two touchdowns, earning game MVP honours.

Fullback/defensive end Vincent Branauer was named Offensive Player of the Game.

Slotback Tyson Orregaard and tailback/linebacker Billy Hunter had one touchdown each.

Other Chilliwackians in the game were Lucas Feaver, Logan Tocher, Aiden Parks, Tyler Bergin, Evan Butler, Kalen Konrad, Yapo Conteh, Gavin Parks, Carter Dallas and Aiden Hewitt.

All Star Youth Sports is run by former CFLer Cory Philpot.
