The Chilliwack Chiefs return to the ice Wednesday night, hosting a Mainland division rival in a rare back-to-back-to-back series.

Chilliwack (21-9-5-0) welcomes the Wenatchee Wild (7 p.m. at Prospera Centre) and visits Wenatchee (28-5-2-0) Friday and Saturday in games that carry significant meaning.

The second place Chiefs could close the gap on the first place Wild, which currently sits at 11 points, or that gap could balloon out of control.

Chilliwack is 1-2 against Wenatchee this season and lost 5-3 the last time these teams met.

The home game is also Fill the Rink for the Food Bank night, with $7 tickets available to anyone bringing a donation of a non-perishable food item.
