Chilliwack Chiefs add young gun to roster remake

After loading up on veteran commitments, the Chilliwack Chiefs landed a young forward in Okanagan Rockets midget standout Tanner Campbell.

The Chilliwack Chiefs have plucked 17 year old forward Tanner Campbell out of the midget hockey ranks, getting a commitment for the 2014-15 season.

Campbell joins the junior A club after a tremendously successful 2013-14 campaign.

The forward sniped 29 goals and 67 points in just 38 games as his BC Major Midget League Okanagan Rockets captured a league championship. Campbell and company advanced to the Telus Cup national championship where they finished third.

“We are very happy to add Tanner to our lineup,” said Chiefs head coach and general manager Jason Tatarnic. “He had an excellent year, and anytime you can add a player with national tournament experience, it can only help your team. He produced good offensive numbers last season and we’re hoping he can do the same for us.”
