Chilliwack Chiefs goaltender Grant Riley is the third star of the month in the BCHL.
After an up-and-down October while adapting to the league and overcoming an ankle injury, the New York product took his game to another level in November. Riley won four of five starts, stopping 101 of 106 shots for a 95.3 save percentage and a 1.00 goals-against average.
Two of Riley’s wins were shutouts, a 5-0 blanking of Powell River and a 3-0 triumph over Victoria.
The 19-year-old stopper has climbed up the stats chart for league-leaders. His 2.27 goals-against average is fourth lowest, his 91.0 save percentage is tied for 10th and his two shutouts are tied for second.
The BCHL’s first star for November is Felix Trudeau of the West Kelowna Warriors, who produced 11 goals and 19 points in 11 games.
The second star is Salmon Arm Silverback Simon Tassy who netted 10 goals and 20 points in 12 games.
