Chilliwack’s Corben Bowen will represent BC at the National Provincial Festival, a week-long rugby event taking place on the University of British Columbia campus.
Bowen will play for U-14 Team BC in a tournament that runs Aug. 6-11 at the tournament at the Wolfson Fields.
The 14-year-old went to Mt. Slesse middle school last year and hopes to attend GW Graham this fall.
He plays wing and fullback and made Team BC despite missing out on a gauntlet of tryouts. Bowen played for a U-15 regional team, and had one shot to impress the provincial coaches during a seven’s tournament in Victoria.
