BCHL extra: Vees ranked number one nationally

The BCHL's Penticton Vees took over top spot in the latest Canadian Junior Hockey League rankings.

From BCHL media:

The Penticton Vees are the top junior A team in Canada according to the latest Canadian Junior Hockey League rankings.

A 20 game winning streak finally catapulted the BCHL's top team over the Manitoba Hockey League's Woodstock Slammers. The Alberta Hockey League's Spruce Grove Saints are the third-ranked squad.

The only other BCHL team making the list is the Cowichan Valley Capitals, checking in at No. 17.

Weekly rankings are based upon a variety of factors, including the league in which the teams play, winning percentage, win-loss record, total points accumulated, goals-for versus goals-against ratio, etc.

The CJHL is comprised of the ten Junior A hockey leagues across Canada. More information on the CJHL can be found at www.cjhlhockey.com.
