Chilliwack Minor Hockey hosts the Paul Brenner Memorial Bantam Spring Tournament this weekend at Twin Rinks and Prospera Centre.

The tournament runs Friday to Sunday, with Chilliwack's A3 bantam squad one of the favourites to win.

The locals had a successful season, getting the nod over 67 other teams for the PCAHA team achievment banner.

They open Friday at 3:15 p.m. versus the Westside Warriors, and they're back at it Friday night (8:30 p.m.) versus the Prince George Spruce Kings.

Both games are at Twin Rinks No. 1.

Chilliwack faces the Portland Winterhawks Saturday night (6 p.m. at TR1), with playoff games starting Sunday morning.

Several Chilliwack teams are playing in the tournament. The rest of the field includes the Mission Stars, Langley Eagles, Langley Ice Dawgs, Seattle Eagles, Seattle Badgers, Surrey Sharks, New Westminster, Aldergrove and 100 Mile House.
