Support your local merchant

Support local merchants and you may spend a few extra cents or dollars, but you are keeping the community strong

With the Christmas season quickly approaching I’d like to suggest people shop locally in their choices. Shopping locally builds a stronger community infrastructure. Having lived in places that thrived, I noted that “buy locally” was strongly emphasized – from a restaurant my husband worked to a healthcare facility I worked – it was policy to buy locally.  Support local merchants and you may spend a few extra cents or dollars, but you are keeping the community strong, which would benefit the community and province and country in the long run.
