I parked on the parking lot at the old Safeway for five minutes and did not notice it was a pay parking lot. When I came out of the outlet store, I found the ticket on my car for $61.60 if paid within 10 days and $78.40 if paid after 10 days. I checked what the fees were, it costs $2 for all day parking!
This is fraud. I could see paying $5 or $10; I made a mistake, okay. The best part written on the reverse side: “To Contest This Notice: Please correspond in writing with detailed reasons for contesting this Notice. All correspondence must include any supporting documents along with your full name, return address, and violation Reference Number. Correspondence may be emailed to appeals@diamondparking.com or mailed to the address below. Please allow up to 30 days for processing.” This means you will always pay the higher rate. If you do not pay within 30 days you will have a Collection Agency on your back! If this is legal, everyone should go out and buy a piece of land for parking. There were approximately 25 to 30 cars on the lot at the time, most of them with tickets. You cannot make money any quicker. Again, this is legal?
