Invoking the Emergencies Act and freezing the money and assets will disproportionately punish the women, children and other dependents of these truckers.

With bank accounts and credit cards frozen, the truckers will go bankrupt and foreclosure of their homes and vehicles because they will not be able to pay their rent /mortgages, food, vehicle payments, medical/dental costs, home and vehicle insurance and other essential bills for themselves and their families.

Cancelling vehicle insurance will prevent the truckers from driving their trucks home and it is unlikely that the truckers will ever be able to obtain insurance in the future, even after the Emergencies Act has been revoked. Banks and insurance companies are unlikely to ever want to do business in the future, with someone they found as a undesirable customer in the past.

Most of the truckers have been peaceful and non-violent but it appears that the prime minister and some police offices are vindictive and trying to provoke the truckers to commit violence.
