LETTER: Another victim of unfair parking rules at Chilliwack plaza

‘I did not pay the ticket and have since had a couple of threatening letters’

I read the letter to the editor, “Grocery store parking ticket was unfair” in the March 18, 2022 issue of The Progress. I too was a victim of Diamond Parking Service.

We parked at the Salish Plaza parking lot, walked across the street to the Scotiabank, returned and did our shopping at Save-On-Foods.

When we returned to our vehicle there was a ticket from Diamond Parking Service.

I have the sales slip from Save-On-Foods which shows the date and time I was in their store. I spoke to the store manager but his hands are tied.

It puts the merchants in a bad light but it is Diamond that is the culprit. They likely watch anyone parking there and if they leave the lot they are immediately slapped with a ticket for $86.50.

I did not pay the ticket and have since had a couple of threatening letters.
