October 1, 1946 - March 4, 2019
On March 4th 2019 Walter "Lyle " Mckendry passed away peacefully at Chilliwack General Hospital with his Spouse, Sons and Daughters at his bedside.
Lyle was born October 8th 1946 in Calgary, Alberta and spent many years between the West Kootenays and Lower Mainland before meeting his future spouse Diane Gail Covey in Chilliwack, BC and forming their business venture L&G Bobcat Services. Lyle lived for operating heavy equipment and moving dirt. With his strong work ethic and keen business sense he secured government contracts in soil remediation. In the early 2000's, Lyle and his Spouse moved to Quesnel, BC and ran their business in the Fort Nelson, BC area before retiring in 2011. Lyle was very well known in all the small town coffee shop restaurants and adored by all the waitresses who served him.
Lyle is survived by his Spouse Diane Gail Covey, Sons, Shane, Doug, Jamie Mckendry, Steven English, Daughters Tammy Redel, Brandi, Lisa and Natalie Covey as well as many grandchildren.
The family would like to Thank all the doctors and nurses at the Chilliwack General Hospital who aided with Lyles medical care and the many friends and family who supported all of us.
At Lyles request there will be no funeral service however there will be a gathering for immediate family to honour and celebrate his life at a later date.
Rest in peace dear dad, your family loves you dearly and we all miss you dearly.
