With sadness, we announce the passing of Verlene Rae Olsen, on March 14th, 2023 at the Chilliwack General Hospital. Verlene was born in a small town in Hardisty Alberta.
She was an adventurous lady who enjoyed skating, tap dancing, curling, golf, craft making, and cruising. Those who knew her well knew of her large collection of ceramic shoes.
Verlene skipped 2 grades in school and graduated at just shy of age 15. Eventually, she and her husband Willy retired and moved to Chilliwack BC, and settled in at Promontory Lake Estate where they shared many evenings playing bridge and entertaining friends and family at elegant dinner parties.
After the passing of Willy, she moved into The Lynwood where she enjoyed meeting new friends and taking in yoga.
She will be missed by her son Bradly Scot Olsen, her brother & sister-in-law Gary and Joanne Quinlan, niece, nephews, cousins and close friends.
A heartfelt thank you to the excellent Doctors and staff who gave such special care while she was in the hospital, you gave her family comfort knowing she was in good hands.
A celebration of life will be held May 19th, 2023 at The Lynwood with family and close friends.
