Velma Gertrude Scribner

Velma Gertrude Scribner passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2006 in her home sur­rounded by her husband Raymond, family and dearest fri­ends. Velma was born in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan on August 9, 1928 to William and Ada Geier. She moved from Prince George to Chilliwack in 1994.

Velma was predeceased by her parents, eight siblings, husbands Ed Linder (1980) and Norman McLean (1998). She is survived by her husband Raymond, her brother Glenn (May) Geier, her sisters Bessie Jensen and Ada James and step-children; Rodney (Jean) McLean, Sharon Alder, Noreen (Wayne) Johnson, Ross (Betty) McLean, Warren (Karen) McLean, 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Velma will be sadly missed by her loving husband Raymond, her many friends and family.

A funeral service will be officiated by Paul Sharp at Chilliwack Community Church 46420 Brooks Avenue, Chilliwack, B.C. Friday February 17th, 2006 at 12 (noon). In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice, the MS Society, SPCA or Pallitive Care Society would be appreciated. Ar­rangements in care of McLean’s Funeral Ser­vices Ltd.
