Tom passed away following a courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his first wife Betty and his parents John and Bessie and brother Alexander. Tom leaves to mourn his wife June, and his family in Scotland - daughter Lisa Edwards (David) and their family and Tom’s brother John Wilkie and 3 nephews. Tom is also survived by his step children Wanda (Ed), Brett (Julie), Laura (Bob) and Melinda and their families, as well as many friends in the UK and Canada and his beloved dog, Dougie.

Tom was born in Motherwell, Scotland and served in the British Army (REME) prior to immigrating to Canada in 1975. Tom worked for many years as a Millwright in Ontario before moving to Vancouver Island where he resided in Parksville and Port Alberni and later settling in Chilliwack. Tom was a mentor and friend to many in his lifetime. He lived by the motto ‘ONE DAY AT A TIME’ and he will be remembered for his strength, sense of humour and his no nonsense approach to life.

His passion for motorcycle riding took him on many journeys throughout Canada as well he enjoyed reading, good conversations, gardening and building and crafting in his workshop.

Special thanks to the caring staff at Chilliwack Hospital and Cascade Hospice.
