Terry Wilson passed away peacefully in the arms of the love of his life and surrounded by his adoring family. Lovingly remembered by Judy, his wife of 55 years, his children Janice (Brian), Glenn (Michelle) and Nancy (Darrell), and his beloved grandchildren Daniel, Adam (Katie), Kevin, Mark (Elle), Kirsty, Sydney and Ben. Also mourning Terry are his brothers Tony (Joan) and Ted, and his sister Christine and sister-in-law Nancy (Andrew) and many nieces and nephews.
Terry grew up in Blackpool,England. He served in the military in Cyprus where he met Judy in 1957. They married in Blackpool and started a family. Afterwards they moved the family to the south of England. In 1978 they immigrated to Canada, and eventually settled in Chilliwack, where Terry has become a fixture on the CFC sidelines watching his grandchildren playing soccer.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made towards a memorial bench in Terry’s name at Townsend Park soccer fields.
A celebration of Terry’s life will be held at will be held at St. Thomas’s Anglican church located at 46048 Gore Avenue on Friday April 17th beginning at 2:00 pm. Light snacks and refreshment will follow after the service.
