It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Steven James Reid.

Left to mourn Steven: his son Kyle and daughter Stephanie, whom he loved more than anything this world could offer. His mother Cora, sister Debby, and brother Vern. Also nephews and nieces Jeremy, Hayley, Raymond, Chelsea and Willem. And of course, the reason for his happiness, and the twinkle in his eyes, his angel Alison.

In the time Alison and Steve were together she always had him smiling. Their favourite time together was spent riding their Harleys; they rode them together every time they got the chance.

He knew he was well loved. This past year he took great pride and pleasure in working with his son Kyle on his truck. He loved to take his children on adventures such as skiing, quading, and hiking. There was no limit on the amount of ventures they would do together. He was more of a big brother than an uncle to Jeremy and Hayley because he lived with them when they were younger. When Jeremy just turned 18 Steve took Jeremy to Colorado for his first job and taught him how to build log homes, where they created many memories. Steve could play the guitar and craft beautiful wooden furniture for his family and friends. Steve drove every truck out there.

He saw it all as he drove long haul across Canada and the U.S. He leaves many buddies behind too soon, but all of which can agree he was a great friend who was always there. Steve did many things that we will all remember with love and smiles. He was truly a happy man. He left us too soon but will never be forgotten.
