Stanley Valentine Geib passed away peacefully on December 22, 2002 at the age of 85. It was too soon for us.
Stan was an electrician for the City of Vancouver for 27 years but for his family he was always our jack-of-all-trades, carpenter, plumber, small appliance repairman, taxi driver, and much more. Dad was always there when we needed him.
After retiring, Stan and his wife Mary enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved to golf, fish, play cards, and travel. He especially liked his yearly visits to Las Vegas, but his favourite thing of all was simply spending time with his wife and family at home or Birch Bay. Poppy will always be remembered as a kind and loving man who always made us laugh.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Mary; eight children, Len Coombes, Marylen (Beat) Meyer, Donna (Jim) Gallop, Laura (Larry) Dean, Corinne (Ron) Buss, Jim (Marie) Coombes, Barbara Sisson, and Ace (Sue) Coombes; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
There will be no service by request. A Celebration of Life Tea will be held by the family on January 5, 2003 at 2 p.m. from Rainbow Estates Hall, 9055 Ashwell Rd., Chilliwack.
