Roy Samuel Cromarty
Roy Cromarty passed away on May 20, 2023 in Chilliwack BC at the age of 77. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland on June 15, 1945.
He worked for 40 years on tugboats throughout BC for Rivtow Straits and Catherwood Towing. He was one of the last Fast Water Skippers on the Fraser River between Hope and Mission. He also spent a number of years with the Rosedale Fire Dept., some as Assistant Chief.
Roy is survived by his spouse of 37 years, Wendy; his daughters Candy (Rob) and Kelly (Jason); grandchildren Tyson (Megan), Alyssa (Jay), Brooke, and Haylee; great[1]grandchildren Logan, Luke, and Lane; several extended grandchildren; his brothers Greg and Wayne and families; and his mother-in-law Jessie, and other relatives. He was predeceased by his parents Roy and Lily, grandson Braydon, sisters-in-law Gail, Pat and Valerie, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. There will be no service at Roy's request.
He worked hard, played hard, and did it His Way! He will be forever in our hearts.
