PATTERSON, Roy , Arthur. December 13, 1921 – July 27, 2013. Art passed away peacefully in Chilliwack on July 27, 2013 at the age of 91. He is survived by his sons David and Murray, his brother Ken, many loving nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Anne in 2004. Born in Shellmouth, Manitoba, Art made his way to dairy college in Winnipeg where he qualified as a cream grader and buttermaker. He took great pride in his work first in creameries in Russell, Reston and Brandon, Manitoba and then later with Dairyland in Sardis for over 25 years. He was an active curler and loved dancing and travelling across Canada. A loving and caring husband and father he worked hard to provide for his family. He was a kind, warm-hearted man who loved people and was grateful for all that life had to offer. He brought joy to many people and enriched all our lives with his energy, upbeat nature, sense of humour and concern for others. Art will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday August 7th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Carman United Church at 7258 Vedder Rd., Sardis, B.C. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the B.C. Cancer Society.
