Roy passed away on April 2, 2024, at Cascade Lodge from Alzheimer's.
He was born in Brownlee, Saskatchewan to Christopher and Rosamond Irwin. Roy grew up in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta and served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 5 years after graduating from high school.
Roy was employed by Pan An Airlines, University of Saskatchewan, federal government in Churchill, Manitoba and ended his career as the manager of the Prince Albert Satellite Station in Saskatchewan.
Roy was predeceased by his first wife Monica and his brother Bill.
Left to mourn his loss are his wife Gail, son Richard, daughter Shauna (Darren), sister Florence (Rod), and grandchildren Christopher, Alexander and Emma.
Roy's passions were gardening, golfing, and travelling.
