VERDONK (nee Fanning) Rosaleen. Rosaleen passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the age of 78. She was born on September 14, 1935 in Castle Bellingham, Ireland to Christine and Nicholas Fanning, 1 of 10 children. Rosaleen met her lifelong partner John, in 1956 they married February 3, 1959. After briefly living in Holland, they immigrated to Canada where they lived in North Bend, Prince George and Oliver before settling in Rosedale and began dairy farming. Rosaleen worked at Cannor Nurseries for many years. She enjoyed gardening, walking, biking and caring for her 4 grandchildren. Rosaleen loved to travel, enjoying several trips to Europe, California and Vancouver Island. Rosaleen is lovingly remembered by her husband, John, children Andrew (Mighele), John, Karina (Jennifer) grandchildren Ryan, Mishauna, Alexandra and Nicole; sister Tina; brother Tommy Fanning and many nieces and nephews.
