Roger Giroux passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in Chilliwack at the age of 86.
Roger is survived by his wife Constance, his children Linda (David) Roberts, Daniel, Mike and Sylvia (Bob) Wist, grandchildren Mitchel (Sayuri), Daniel Roberts and Isaiah and by his great grandchildren Tenchi and Kotori.
Roger was born in Ontario and moved to Montreal at the age of 5. At 19 years, he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served for 27 years. After retiring from the military, he managed a convenience store for several years becoming well-known throughout the neighbourhood. When he retired fully, he liked to take long, daily walks to keep himself fit.
He was an avid hockey fan especially of his beloved Canadiens. Roger was smart, funny and well read. He enjoyed a good steak, a smoked meat sandwich and all things chocolate. May he rest in peace.
Memorial donations may be made in Roger Giroux's name to the Salvation Army.
