December 8, 1931 - September 10, 2018
Roberta's early life was spent on a farm near Three Hills, AB. In her tweens the family moved to Chilliwack till the flood of 48 forced the family to split apart briefly until they reunited in a new home in North Vancouver. She went on to work at Gaults and Woodwards in downtown Vancouver. At a work function she reunited with Gordon Ironside who was working in the Chilliwack store. They were married in 1955 and she became a homemaker, caregiver, mother and volunteer in Chilliwack.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1996. After many years in Chilliwack she spent her last 6 years on Quadra Island. She passed away peacefully in Campbell River on Sept 10th.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
