April 23, 1922 - July 21, 2018
Robert passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on July 21st at Valley Haven Guest Home. Born on April 23rd, 1922 in Macklin, Saskatchewan, Bob spent his childhood on the prairies. He married the love of his life, Thelma Brown, on Jan 1, 1943 and Bob and Thelma moved to Chilliwack after he served as a pilot in WWII.

Bob was a local businessman in insurance and real estate. He was part of the first graduating class of the UBC Real Estate Appraisal Diploma Program and was a founding member of the Chilliwack Real Estate Board. He was an avid tennis player until age 86 and an early advocate for the development of tennis facilities around the community.

Bob's greatest contributions and loves in life were his family. He loved them all well and was loved so much in return by them. His love for and commitment to his wife was an incredible example for all who knew them. He was able to retire early, and spent many years enjoying his beautiful property on Chilliwack Mountain and vacationing all over BC and in the US.

Bob was predeceased by Thelma (2011), his wife of 68 years, and his daughter Wendy Warr (2014). He leaves his daughters Gay (Allan) Jacobi and Vicki (Henry) Beckmann, son-in-law Dale Warr, his grandchildren Darnell McCullagh, Trevor Jacobi, Lisa (Gord) Ponak, Heidi (Dave) Blundell, adopted granddaughter Julie Kerr and 6 great-grandchildren.

Bob's family would like to thank the staff at Valley Haven for being a wonderful home for him for the past three years. The family would also like to thank the staff for the incredible care they received in his final days.

There will be no service as requested by Bob.
