It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Kohlruss on March 1, 2021 at Heritage Village.
Bob fought a determined battle against blood and brain cancer for the last nine years of his life. Those who knew him well will remember him for his generous spirit, kind heart and willingness to lend a hand.
Every time anyone asked Bob how he was doing, he always said "I'm doing good, I'm good".
Bob was predeceased by his parents, John and Josephine Kohlruss and his sisters Darlene and Margaret (Peggy). He is survived by his loving wife Jane; his stepchildren Jody Vermeer (Jared Brounstein) and Cindy Vermeer; grandchildren Kendall Mackay, Quinn Mackay, Spencer Jensen, Lexie Jensen and Adisyn Nash. He is also survived by his brother Greg and sister Maryann.
Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and caregivers at Royal Columbian Hospital, Surrey Memorial Cancer Clinic, the Abbotsford Cancer Clinic, Chilliwack General Hospital, Heritage Village and BC Emergency Health Services.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
