It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Rieko Sullivan at the Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, BC on December 4th, 2010 at the age of 75 years. She was born in Tsukumo, Japan.
Rieko is survived by her daughter Francis (David), son Barry (Farida), their 2 children Farzaana and Farhan as well as many nieces and nephews throughout Australia and Japan. She was predeceased by her husband Peter Sullivan.
Rieko worked for many years at the Canadian Forces Base in Chilliwack at the Men’s Mess. She took great pride in her work and would offer her help to any that needed it. She was a spunky little lady, so thoughtful, generous and kind. Rieko will be deeply missed by all those she touched with her heart.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 11th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 8909 Mary Street, Chilliwack. Cremation to follow.
There will be a reception at Henderson’s Funeral Home Tea Room following the service.
