The family of the late Richard Gosick regret to announce his sudden passing on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Chilliwack, BC. at the age of 77 years. He was born March 8, 1935 on the family farm, Sec 36, Tp 23, Rge 5 W2nd, Saskatchewan.
He is survived by his three sons: Brian (Betty), Darrell (Cheryl) and Lorne (Jennifer) Gosick; and his daughter, Joanne (Tim) Hodges as well as nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He is one of nine siblings and is also survived by his sister, Eileen and brothers, Lawrence and Alf. He was predeceased by his wife Betty and son Earl.
Dick loved to camp and fish and spent a lot of time on the banks of the Fraser River. He loved family barbeques, family was very important to him. His hobbies included being in his garden, tending his flowers and lawn. He also enjoyed his time at Sardis Old Age Pensioners Organization, especially darts night and pot luck suppers. He really enjoyed being a part of his grandchildren and great grandchildren’s lives.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 6- 8 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home with Funeral Services arranged for Friday, September 14, 2012 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Ave. Chilliwack.
Interment will take place following at the Legion Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his brothers, Lawrence and Alf; his sons and son-in-law, Brian, Darrell, Lorne, Tim and grandsons, Richard and Kevin. Celebration of Life to follow at 4:30 pm at the OAPO Seniors Centre, 5725 Tyson Rd, Sardis.
