Reginald Leonard Daws

January 23, 1935 - December 5, 2018
Reg passed away very quickly at his home in Chilliwack on December 5th, 2018. His early years were spent in England and when Reg was 13 years old his family immigrated to Vancouver. During his high school years Reg was an air cadet and as a young man chose a career in construction engineering with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Reg spent over 35 years in uniform and held the rank of Chief Warrant Officer for over sixteen years. His outstanding service was recognized by his induction into the Order of Military Merit and with a Commander's Commendation. In civilian employment Reg established a network of lifelong friends throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Reg dedicated his retirement years to serving the Royal Canadian Air Force Association, the National Association of Federal Retirees, his community and his neighbours. Reg touched many lives over the years and we are all better off for it.

Reg is survived by his wife Renate, brother Ray, and their families and extended families. A memorial service in celebration of Reg's life will be held at Branch 4 of the Royal Canadian Legion in Chilliwack at 12 pm on Thursday, December 20th, 2018.
