Phyllis passed away peacefully at the Cascade Hospice in Chillliwack after a bout with cancer.
Babe was Born in Winnipeg, MB where she met & married her husband Don on Dec. 7, 1957.
She had two children, Sherri and Clifford. Unfortunately, both were taken before their time. Both were loved dearly and their loss was a major trial for her in that time in her life. However, they gave her four grandchildren, Kris in Edmonton, Ashton in Halifax, Scott in Vancouver & Liliane in Lacombe, AB, she in turn had three great grandchildren, all boys; Clifford, Stanton &Teddy. There was also many cousins all over Canada.
During the course of time she spent following her husband in his career with the Manitoba Forest Service & National Parks Canada, she met and made many friends who she kept in contact with her whole life. One of the highlights she had was when she & her husband went to Vegas with friends & renewed their vows for their 50th wedding Anniversary. Babe enjoyed camping & traveling in their RV until she became handicapped after 3 hip operations & then she adapted to commercial trips to Mexico & to Hemet, California.
Cooking was her specialty but also enjoyed knitting, petty point & plastic art. Don would like to thank the staff at Cascade
Hospice for their support to Babe and himself while she was there with their good care & support. As per wishes, she was cremated & her ashes will be scattered at a special spot on the beach in White Rock, BC where the ashes of her two children & Don's mother are.
