SULLIVAN; Peter Vincent


It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Peter Vincent Sullivan M/CPL C.D. Retired. Better known to his friends as Sully. Born October 1st, 1949 in Peterborough ON to Irish Catholic parents, youngest of 5 children. Sully joined the military in 1968 and thus began a love affair that was to last his entire life. The brotherhood that followed was to last until he took his final breath. He was a man of immense pride, honesty, loyalty and integrity. His word was his bond and he held his country in the highest esteem. He began his basic training in Cornwallis, then Chilliwack, Gagetown, Petawawa, Cyprus, Alert and back to Chilliwack for his final posting. His varied service took him many places and into many adventures. Sully retired from the military in 1994. He turned his talents to being an Electrolux Salesman, Bartender, then a Commisionair for Range Control. He loved patroling the back roads of the Chilliwack Lake Valley and Columbia Valley, keeping an eye on the drug runners crossing the border along with illegal bear hunters and other illegal activities. He retired from an accident in 2000. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, A.T.V'er and loved the outdoors. Sully loved his family, friends and fellow sappers. He leaves to mourn his wife Rosemary, family Cynthia (Don), Tara (Steve), Chris, Miranda, Tristan, Molly and sister Ann. Predeceased by his parents, brothers James and Leo, sisters Maureen and Frances. Service at St. Mary's, Thursday, December 29th, 2016 @ 12 noon. Celebration of Life to follow at Vedder Legion Branch 280 @ 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please choose a charity of your choice.
