nee: Bridge. Minnie Pavey Lobb (nee Bridge) quietly passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 just three days shy of her 103rd birthday. Born in Vancouver, to Fred and Alice Bridge, Minnie was one of 11 children, and one, Edith Rouse, still remains. After graduation from high school, Minnie moved to Chilliwack where she met Laurie Lobb to whom she was married in 1930. Laurie preceded her in death in 1998. To Laurie and Minnie three children were born; Douglas/Christine; Ernest/Evelyn and Judith/Terry Plummer. Minnie had 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren and never distinguished between grandchildren or step-grandchildren or great-grandchildren; she loved them all. A trip to Lindell Beach was always a special occasion for all of the family. Her quiet presence and love will be greatly missed. A service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013, 1:30 pm at the Alliance Church, 8700 Young Rd, Chilliwack, BC. Her life, her quiet yet sure faith and her non-judgmental love will live on in all those who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution made to Food for the Hungry (fhcanada.org) or to a charitable organization of your choice.
