Melvin Edwin Anhorn, 71, of Chilliwack, BC, went to be with his Lord peacefully on Thursday, November 7, 2013, following a difficult struggle with Alzheimer's. The family extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to the caring staff at Valley Haven care home in Chilliwack. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, May (nee Bartram), two daughters, Debbie Davies & Christina Anhorn, along with 6 grandchildren and many other dear friends and family members. He is predeceased by his parents, an infant brother, and his son-in-law of 22 years. Melvin was born in New Westminster, BC, on August 16, 1942, and lived in Surrey, BC, until he began a life of Christian service that took him and his family to Valdosta, Georgia; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Vernon, British Columbia. The Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013, at the Chilliwack Alliance Church, 9700 Young Road, (1.604.792.0051) at 1:30 pm. Officiating minister: Rev. Earl Wood. Melvin devoted his life to loving, studying and teaching the Word of God. Now he is experiencing the fullness of Christ in a perfect and fully restored mind and soul! And for that we are thankful!
