Martha Reich

March 28, 1920 - January 18, 2017

It was with great sadness that we heard that our dear step-mother Martha Reich, passed away in her care home in Calgary. Martha was actively involved in our lives as our step-mom and as Oma to Fred's grandchildren. In the Reich family relationships, she is survived by her 2 step-daughters June (Fred) Eckert, and Gail (Ray) Williamson of Chilliwack; 3 step-granddaughters Michelle (Shawn) Hiebert of Abbotsford, BC, Kristal (Todd) Boles of Surrey, BC, and Amanda (David) Luttmann of Victoria; BC, 2 step-grandsons, Darren Williamson of Chilliwack, BC, and Clayton (Kristen) Reich of Winfield, AB; 5 step-great grandsons, David and Matthew Hiebert, Zachery and Liam Bell, and Tristen Reich; 1 step-great granddaughter Alexis Reich; and step-sister Marion Evans of West Vancouver; and many nieces and nephews. Mom's time in Chilliwack included a 21-year marriage (1982-2003) to her beloved Fred Reich. These remarkable people found each other a few years after losing their first loves. Together they enjoyed their association with the Chilliwack Lutheran Church, Chilliwack First Baptist Church, RVing, socializing with many friends, and supporting the volunteer projects of Chilliwack Golden K (Kiwanis), square dancing, travelling in Canada, the USA and Europe, and enjoying a rich family life. Martha was pre-deceased by her dear husband Fred, her step-son Don Reich, her step-grandson Randy Eckert, and her step-daughter-in-law Sharlene Reich. As long as they lived, Fred's siblings and their spouses were actively involved in the lives of Martha and Fred. For more information, please go to McInnis and Holloway Funeral Home Obituaries in Calgary. We love you Mom, and are grateful that you enriched our lives. We know that you, with your radiant smile, dwell in glory. Until we meet again...

June, Fred, Gail, Ray, and your second family.
